This is your free tarot reading and oracle card reading forecasting the energies and influences for the week of September 30 through October 5, 2013. Enjoy!
It’s all Wands energies this week, so be prepared to take action and rekindle that energy, drive, and passion for manifesting your dreams. It’s time to make things happen!
What are you afraid of? What’s holding you back? If you’re feeling overwhelmed with what’s before you, it’s time to ask yourself, “what’s really holding me back?” If you’ve been burying your head in a whirlwind of responsibilities, and finding yourself pushing your goals and dreams farther and farther back, perhaps this week, it’s time to take a step back and look at the big picture — from within. If you keep your head buried in the same motions day in and day out, when will your opportunity come? The 10 of Wands gives a sense of feeling overwhelmed and overburdened with responsibilities. It’s a tired energy and one that suggests us to ask ourselves — what am I spending most of my energy towards? Does it get me closer to my goals? And if not, what changes can I make? Who can I reach out to assist me along my intended path?
By the middle of this week, Wednesday and Thursday, the reversed 9 of Wands gives us the opportunity to reflect on our past, our present, and where we would like to see ourselves in the future. It’s an energy that feel restricted and restrained as we’re made aware of our own personal battle scars that seem to hold us back from moving forward. Perhaps the we were buried in work earlier this week (10 of Wands) not because we needed to be, but because we fear the uncertainties and risks of moving forward towards what’s best for us. Take the middle of this week to take control over your past losses, defeats, and past let-downs — they’ve been devastating, but it’s time to release yourself from their hold. You’ve suffered for long enough, haven’t you? Regain your strength, refocus your goals on what you’ve been withholding from yourself, and set yourself free!
The driven and ambitious energy of the King of Wands represents this Friday and into this weekend. There’s no time to get caught up in your fears and “what if” thoughts. It’s your time to re-energize, stop planning — get your hands dirty and take action towards your goals! This is not an energy of planning, it’s an energy of doing and manifesting; of drive, passion, and optimism. It’s time to make it happen! You’ve had the beginning and middle of the week to ask yourself what you’ve been holding yourself back from and how to let go from its holds over you. Now it’s time to finally break free and move forward. The Field of Dreams oracle card tells us to remind ourselves that the sky’s the limit! Leave your fears and worries behind you this week and make it happen!

On Monday and Tuesday this week, we see the reversed Princess of Cups. You’ve been setting your sights on your goals and working your way towards them. Come this week, you may begin to see some unexpected changes or new opportunities headed your way. Will you be ready? Remember that with each step comes new lessons learned and progress towards your ultimate goal. Now’s not the time to drop everything and turn away — it’s time to work with continued patience, knowing that you’re contributing to the foundation of your future. Remember to be flexible, but don’t shy away from taking the steps that you need in order to move forward — it WILL pay off!
By the middle of this week, Wednesday and Thursday, we have the 4 of Cups. Are you faced with a blessing in disguise? The middle of the week we see energies of disillusionment, apathy and disinterest. Yes, opportunities may be headed towards you, but will you be able to recognize them when they’re before you? And was it all that you had expected? Be sure to look at the big picture at this time — even small opportunities lead to greater goals and achievements too! Make sure you’re not letting something wonderful pass you by because you’re set on a particular path, or you feel that you already know what it’s about. Go over it again with a fresh pair of eyes — what differences do you see?
And by the end of the week, from Friday and into the weekend, we have the reversed World card. It’s time to assess where you’ve been, how you got here, and where you’ll be. With this energy, we may see successes and goals met, but a realization that it’s not over yet. But, perhaps the question here is, whether our goals and achievements will ever be over. After all, there’s always going to be another race to be won. And ultimately, it may be up to us to determine how we choose to see the situation.
This week, it’s all about following your passion, recognizing and grabbing hold of those opportunities, and keeping our eyes on the prize!
Your free tarot card reading forecast on the energies and influences surrounding us all this week is shown to us by the 7 of Autumn (7 of Pentacles), reversed Fortitude (Strength) , and the 5 of Winter (5 of Swords).
In the words of Aristotle, “Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.” The beginning of this week has us focusing on planting seeds rather than reaping the fruits of our labor just yet. On the surface, the energies from last week and into this week aren’t the easiest ones to face, but know that beneath the surface, the time is excellent to work on planting seeds, planning for future growth, and slowly building up towards your goals. It’s not a time to cut corners — it’s a time to give all there is towards your dreams and desires. What is it that you want out of life? What improvements would you like to see? Know that the effort and energy that you place into your goals at this time will be rewarding in the future. Patience and perseverance is key now.
And this energy will carry into the middle of the week, as this Wednesday and Thursday, the reversed Fortitude (Strength) card reminds us not to get bogged down, frustrated, or sidetracked from our purpose. This is a time of building your path towards your ideal future and then taking each step along that path. Into the mid-week, continue your focus on the “now.” If you’re starting to feel a lack of motivation, set short and small goals rather than long-term goals. Don’t allow your personal worries, insecurities, or uncertainties to get in your way. You’re almost there!
By Friday and into weekend, these energies may get the best of those who are impatient and unprepared. We may see some senseless bullying, people trying to take their frustrations out on others, and a general lack of consideration all around. If you’re on the receiving end of these attacks, you may choose to stand up for yourself, but do so with a long-term mindset. In other words, don’t get carried away! Do you have a reputation to uphold? Will your actions cause you to hide with embarrassment come next Monday? Know that these negative energies may be the result of frustrations that don’t have much to do with you, so try not to take things personally.
For this week, it’s best to, “keep calm and carry on…”
As a side note…
I’ve been immersed in a new love and romance tarot reading project these past several weeks that had me in Hermit mode and away from blog updates. I’m so very excited about this upcoming tarot project, which I will unveil to all of you soon!
For this week’s free tarot reading, I am using the Victorian Fairy Tarot Deck, published by Llewellyn Publications. I just received this deck this week, and it is already becoming one of my absolute favorite tarot decks of all time! I will be posting a full review of this deck soon with additional photos, but for now, let me just say that not only is the artwork in this deck absolutely enchanting, but this deck is a delight to read with.
This is a free weekly tarot card and oracle reading on the energies and influences surrounding all of us for August 26 through September 1, 2013.
This week begins with a rude awakening of sorts as we see the reversed Prince of Cups (or Page of Cups) bringing us energies of shattered illusions and the fading of that rosy glow. When the Prince of Cups (Page of Cups) is reversed, we find small emotional disappointments, often in the form a burst bubble of ideals. As a Prince (of Page), we may find ourselves dealing with some inner emotional imbalances. Perhaps we’re finding that it’s time to face some emotional baggage left from our childhood. Others may be facing less than rosy news, causing our emotional cup to suddenly dry out.
Whatever emotional awakenings you may be experiencing around the beginning of this week, the Reflection (or Hanged Man) card reminds us that the best approach to take is to take a deep breath, reflect on the situation, and let go of the need for control. This card seems to whisper that, “this too shall pass.” Around Wednesday and Thursday of this week, it may be best to wait it out, go with the flow, and wait until the dust settles. It may not be in your best interest to take a stand or take sides too early on in the week.
But by Friday and into the weekend, the Queen of Swords tells us that things will start to become clearer and you may be able to approach things with a clear and sharp mind.
The River Movement oracle card tells us that this is a week about allowing yourself to find inner peace, balance and clarity by simply paying attention and observing the flow. By doing so, it becomes easier for us to navigate our experiences and see what lies ahead, or at least get a sense of what is to come by the ever-changing geography that unfolds as we cruise along the river of life this week.
“‘Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time?’ That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains, everywhere and that the present only exists for it, not the shadow of the past nor the shadow of the future.” - “Siddhartha” by Herman Hesse
The full moon this Tuesday night, on August 20, 2013, will bring energies of completion, fulfillment, and changes. The reversed “Golden Palace” oracle card reminds us that it may be best to set your sights on the bigger picture, the greater journey, the group, the team. Rather than holding tightly onto the personal security that is before us, it may be a time to loosen our grip for the greater good. In doing so, we will find that the universe will bring us more than what we had given away. By letting go of our focus on ourselves, surrendering to changes, we are releasing our fear and lack and opening the doors for abundance.
Practice faith and the treasure will be revealed. – Chinese Proverb
This is your free weekly tarot card reading on the energies and influences surrounding all of us for August 19 – 25, 2013.
That extra oomph that you’ve been waiting for kicks off this week, giving you what you need to be able to make some headway, to take that definite first step forward. The beginning of this week finds us with the inner strength to be able to not only set our sights towards a goal, but to be able to take some decisive actions towards those goals. The reversed Hanged Man suggests moments where we are ready, willing and able to get off the fence. It’s a time of reemergence, of action, and improvements!
Wednesday and Thursday finds us surrounded by more serious and conflicted energies as we see the 2 of Swords. Inner fears, worries or difficulties may be felt but not seen at this time. This may be a time where certain details may be swept under the rug, hidden from sight. There may be struggles behind the scenes, and this may be seen as inner emotional struggles or tasks and details that we’re choosing not to see at the moment. Whatever it may be, know that once we’re able to face and tackle these issues head-on, we’ll be able to move forward with greater freedom. Don’t let the stress of details block your free flow of energy.
The energies from mid-week may carry a bit into Friday and into the weekend. The reversed Strength card finds us struggling with self-doubt or lack of self discipline. The energies for Friday and into the weekend surrounds control. We may see this in a lack of self-control — facing setbacks and sensing a loss of control over ourselves to be able to move forward. Alternatively, we may also see this energy in the form of over-control — anger, aggression, and power struggles. This will be an ideal time to focus on inner healing and working on self-love, patience and inner-strength.
Overall, this will be a week that nudges towards a new and exciting path, then challenges us to face our fears and tear down obstacles both in the external world around us and in the shadows within ourselves.
This tarot reading provides us with insight into the energies we can expect and what we should be aware of for the upcoming week ahead.
This week’s energies surround our organic drive and determination to pursue our goals and passions. That’s the natural energy of the Wands, and this week’s influences seem to be all about that drive and determination within ourselves to push forward with all we’ve got — it’s a time of giving it all it takes, even if it means going at it alone.
And when the going gets tough… the tough keep pushing. Monday and Tuesday kicks off with a sense of having to take on a bit much. You may find yourself trying to take on a heavier workload at your job. Or you’re feeling that a certain project, partnership, or concern, isn’t going to move forward the way you’d like it to unless you put in more than your share of the time and energy.
Are you feeling like you’re doing all the work in your relationship or at your job? On the other hand, you may be shouldering the burdens because you can’t trust anyone else to get the task done. Whatever is it, there is an imbalance in energies somewhere and come Wednesday and Thursday, we may begin to feel some of the less ideal aspects of acting with too much drive. The reversed 9 of Wands suggests some energies involving rigidity, an inflexible approach. You’ve been burying yourself in seeing an idea progress that you’re determined to stand your ground, not giving in to outside opinions. Or perhaps you’re on the receiving end of someone wanting to dig their heels in the sand. When you sense this happening this week in others, know that it may be best to stand aside and allow them to move forward. It’s Wand energy afterall — passion driven — and you may get trampled if you try to stop someone as they’re just reaching for that finish line.
This will be a week filled with drive and determination, and even successes. People will be focused on the race towards their goals this week. By Friday and into the weekend, some may feel the negative effects of focusing too much on winning and not enough on camaraderie and teamwork. If you feel you’ve been trampled amidst the race, know that it’s not personal — it’s the energy, drive and competitive spirit that surrounds us this week.
This tarot reading provides us with insight into the energies we can expect and what we should be aware of for the upcoming week ahead.
This week we can expect to see how our own strengths play in our path towards our desires. The number 8 in the tarot represents personal strengths. We have both the 8 of Cups and the 8 of Swords in this week’s tarot reading which suggests opportunities for insight into our own emotional and psychological strength.
Our week begins with the energies contained in the reversed Page of Pentacles which suggests some setbacks, delays, or concerns with regards to matters of finances, career, home, health, or even personal values. When we see the Page of Pentacles reversed, it tells us that we may experience a lack of focus on practicality, or a lack of actual application towards solid achievements. You may be reevaluating your commitments and obligations. On the flip side, you may be on the receiving end of someone who hasn’t been walking the talk. Or there may be an understanding that you need to take action to achieve a certain desired goal, but difficulties dedicating yourself to the task at the moment.
Whatever it will be, by Wednesday and Thursday, you’ll find clarity where you need it most. The 8 of Cups brings a much needed sense of focus, decisiveness and strength as you recognize that you must let go of something you’ve been holding onto in order to achieve greater happiness. If the reversed Page of Pentacles from earlier in the week has you toying with the mere idea of leaving a job you felt was no longer emotionally fulfilling (but not acting on it), the 8 of Cups will see you emotionally solidifying this job change and looking forward to leaving your current job behind in search for a job that will fulfill your desires.
But the saying, “Rome wasn’t built in a day,” seems to be contained in the 8 of Swords and the Hierophant for Friday through Sunday. Our emotions were ready for the change mid-week, but towards the end of the week, there may be some mental doubts or frustrations due to restrictions. The 8 of Swords coupled with the Hierophant suggests feelings of restrictions in progressing influenced by societal or institutional rules. Are you finding that listings for your dream job require all but a PhD in basket weaving? Or are you having second thoughts about how you’ll be able to tell your friends and family about your new path?
What the 8 of Swords tells us is that your perceived restrictions are just that — your own perceptions. If you find yourself facing delays, know that they’re only temporary. Things are not nearly as restrictive as they seem — take a step of faith and you will soon be closer towards your desires.
One of the most common questions asked in tarot card readings is about timing and time frames. When will I get married? When will I find my soulmate? When will he call me? When will my ex return to me?
As a professional tarot reader, I try to challenge myself to read with as much accuracy for each client as I can, including when it comes to predicting when an event will likely happen. There are many ways tarot readers predict timing using tarot cards and these techniques range from simple to complex. In this post, I will share a few easy timing prediction techniques and tips that I have used with accuracy.
1. Messages in the Spread
Before selecting additional cards, look to the cards already laid out in the reading for answers. First, look at the elements of each card. Are they active or passive cards? Wands and Swords elements tend to indicate “active” or fast movement in cards while Pentacles and Cups tend to represent “passive” or slower moving cards. Reviewing the elements as an entire spread also allows your intuition to guide you along the energies of the reading.
If a large majority of the spread in your reading includes Wands or Swords, the timing prediction may be in days or weeks. If a large majority of the reading spread contains Cups or Pentacles, the time frame may be in months or years.
Next, look to the numbers on the cards. Are certain numbers repeated in the spread? If so, this may indicate the number of days, months, or years as your timing prediction.
For example, if a client asked, Will I find love? and When will I find love? I lay out a 3-card spread and we’re given the 2 of Wands, High Priestess, and Ace of Cups. Before I look into timing aspects, I will first give her the reading and tell her that she has been looking for love in the past and she will find love in the future. But before she finds love, she needs to take the time to seek within herself, understand what her personal desires and needs are. If she does so, she may begin to see events unfolding in around 2 weeks.
This technique may not always work if the spread does not provide enough timing messages. If the tarot reading spread doesn’t give us timing predictions, use some of the other techniques below.
2. Divinatory Meanings
In addition to numbers and elements, the divinatory meanings of each tarot card may provide answers as to when something will happen. You can look for this in the original tarot spread, or you can also cast additional cards specifically for a time frame prediction.
For example, if a client wanted to know, When will my ex return to me? The cards in our reading told us that her ex would come back to her and reconcile in the future, but were unclear with timing messages. I select one card to see when it will happen and we’re given the 8 of Wands. The 8 of Wands often indicates swift movement, speed and action. Using the divinatory meaning of this tarot card, I would tell her that this event will happen soon as there is very little that stands in the way of a reconciliation.
3. Suits & Numbers
Tarot card suits and numbers are widely used to predict time frames with the following correspondence:
Suits / Element Correspondence
Swords – Days or Summer
Wands – Weeks or Spring
Cups – Months or Autumn
Pentacles – Years or Winter
Numbers follow the corresponding numbers on each card. Court cards use the following numbers:
Page – 11
Knight – 12
Queen – 13
King – 14
Using this method, the 6 of Cups may represent 6 Months, or Autumn. In my readings, when I use this method, I will select more than 1 card and look for consistencies. For example, if I was doing the tarot reading in June, and timing cards were the 6 of Cups and the Knight of Pentacles, the timing prediction may be in around 6 months, during the Wintertime, which would be around December. Depending on the cards, this may require listening to your intuition.
Some tarot readers say that time frame predictions with the tarot is not possible. My personal experience as a tarot reader has shown me that the tarot can often provide us with accurate insight and predictions on when something will happen.
